Junior Staff Member (TN)

Dixie Carlton

Dixie Carlton, oldest daughter of Jason Carlton, is the only Junior Staff Member of Area of Operations. The first time she ate deer as a baby; she loved it so much she cried when she emptied her plate. She has been in the woods with her dad since she was old enough to walk and has the skills to prove it. When she accompanied Jason as a guest on a hunt in 2023 at only 15 years old, she wowed the senior staff first with her tracking skills. She later immersed herself in field dressing, skinning, deboning, processing and packing almost every deer that hunters took that weekend; all skills that even few grown men possess. In classic Dixie style, she one-upped her dad by doubling up with a pair of does for her first deer in a rare deer season Tennessee snowstorm in January 2025. She hopes to pursue a career in the automotive or welding industry out of high school.
